Foshan architectural ceramics originated from "Shiwan Ceramics", which has a history of thousands of years and precipitated a large amount of culture. In the early days of the liberation, Shiwan Ceramics has developed into a product category of art ceramics, daily-use ceramics, garden ceramics, architectural ceramics, sanitary ceramics, and industrial ceramics. At that time, there were more than 500 ceramic enterprises, more than 1,200 production lines, and a production capacity of nearly 1.5 billion square meters per year, accounting for nearly half of the country`s total production. At the same time, with the improvement of the status of Foshan`s commercial center, the government put forward industrial rectification, forced by environmental protection and cost pressures, Foshan Ceramics began the third round of industrial transfer, adjacent to Jiangxi, Guangdong has become a hot spot for Foshan ceramics, formed today New pattern of building sanitary ceramics industry in China. The total output is about 2 billion square meters per year, the total output value is over 100 billion yuan per year, the output accounts for more than 30% of the country, and the export volume accounts for over 70% of the country. There are 62 enterprises above designated size in Foshan, more than 330 production lines, and more than 100,000 employees, forming a complete industrial chain such as tile production, equipment manufacturing, chemical manufacturing, product research and development, and logistics and transportation.
At present, Foshan Ceramics is at the forefront of the country in terms of product quality, production equipment, marketing, export trade, brand building, corporate management, environmental protection, clean production, technological innovation, product design, and talent quality.
